Hotel Capitole

Comfortable and clean hotel Nice room Good location Nice breakfast Friendly staff

Small and rather dark room, not at all functional (eg very small bathroom with few places to put things and only one towel holder, lacked large towels for shower, provided only two liquid soaps and 2 tiny soaps, nothing else). Very small wardrobe, suitable perhaps for one person, not two. Upon arrival completely empty minibar, not even a bottle of water, which we had to ask each time at reception. Entrance to the bathroom right next to the bed with light coming on from outside (if one person has to go to the bathroom at night it is inevitable to wake the other one who is sleeping, blinding him with light). Very small balcony. Cleaning like this. The title of the review refers to the fact that at night we were 4 stuck in the elevator for about an hour. Luckily we managed to call a technician from the manufacturer via the emergency button. The night staff of the hotel, after making a few timid attempts to open the door, completely abandoned us to ourselves never returning to wonder how we were and to give us any information on the arrival of the technician. PS: I recognize that we should have realized that we probably exceeded the maximum load allowed... but I think that for safety in this case the elevator should not close... In any case they did not give us discounts for the misadventure. Breakfast at the union minimum (buffet? If you could call it that) with hot drinks machine. We stayed two nights and were never redone the room, but it was probably a matter of time. Parking and breakfast separately, not included in the room price. Good only the location and the bed quite comfortable. Definitely not a 3 star.

Stayed one night. Nice and cozy room, not very large but quiet at night. Comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff, they also speak in Italian. A parking space is available in front of the hotel by reservation at the price of €18 per day (the parking space is available from about 11 am until check out the next day so always at about 11 am). Near the casino of Monte Carlo less than 10 minutes walk. Recommended.
