O'Douze

Extremly nice, clean and well appointed appartement. Everything was perfect and exceeded my expectations. The street can be a little noisy, but thats the price to pay if you want to be in the center. Close to ocean boulevard, plenty of restaurants close by. So you can leave your car and explore by foot. Parking is a bit difficult if you arrive, so be prepared. Surprised about the price for the room, considering its Cannes, I was very pleased.

O'Douze is a wonderful place for the budget-minded to stay in Cannes. When we approached the building and saw that it was on a busy street, we wondered what we might have gotten into, but it turned out to be very quiet upstairs. We concur with all the positive comments in the other reviews as well as the caveats about the stairs if you have might have trouble trudging up. Though we never saw any staff, the owner was very responsive when called. There were a couple of lights out, but otherwise the apartment was clean, well-maintained, and well-stocked with kitchen needs. Water pressure was very good. There is a nice cafe and a boulangerie right across the street. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it highly to all our friends.

- The property is not staffed but this is no problem as the proprietor provides all information upfront by email (eg parking) - Book your parking in advance as they mail you an access card - very good setup and close to the accommodation - Smallish studio but fine for 2 people - Charming balcony but outdoor furniture needs cleaning - Handy laundry facilities - Cleanliness has been rated average as the dishwasher had not been unpacked on our arrival; some of the towels were stained; cooking utensils, etc were not 100% clean - Location is wonderful - close to station, supermarket and restaurants - Overall we would stay again
