This establishment offers (almost) everything we expect from a house on the Croisette, BUT it is located in the "second row" and is significantly cheaper. A nice room with a view of the sea, very good beds, swimming pool, terrace, bar, directly behind it the main shopping street, two minutes to the promenade and also a whole range of good restaurants within walking distance. Parking spaces are located in the parking garage right across the street. The reception is always staffed by accommodating personnel. We felt very comfortable.

Booked accommodation at the Hôtel Le Canberra Cannes from 21 July 2026 to 29 July 2026. Due to the delay in issuing visas by the consulate, which was independent of us, we were physically unable to arrive on the dates booked, and the hotel was notified in advance. We did not ask for a refund of the entire amount in violation of the rules, but offered a reasonable compromise: to deduct the penalty for 3 nights of the original reservation as a cancellation fee, and to transfer the remaining amount and the surcharge for new nights to the new arrival dates at the end of August and beginning of September , when the hotel had rooms available. Stressed in their repeated requests to the hotelier that they were willing to pay the difference, that the losses to us were substantial, but all options were rejected. The management and the booking department refused harshly, relying solely on internal inflexible cancellation rules and taking full payment for all days without service. In doing so, the hotelier violates the basic principle of balancing the rights of the parties as set out in French consumer protection legislation (Code de la consommation on the prohibition of disproportionate fines) It is a pity that in a situation of force majeure, the hotel chooses to benefit from the moment instead of meeting the guests and remaining loyal. Never come here again and recommend that no one risk their money. Why avoid this hotel: Lack of flexibility: Ignore the real reasons and force majeure with visas. It is very disappointing that in a force majeure situation, the hotel chooses short‐term profit instead of accommodating the guests and preserving their loyalty. We will never return here and do not recommend anyone to risk their money. It is my first review before leaving the hotel. Wanted to make sure you plan your trip correctly. Exceptional hotel in the center, on the main shopping street. Staff are super nice and helpful especially Esmeralda who greets you with a smile. We got one room and one suite: both very spacious with a nice view. Breakfast is acceptable. Pool area very charming with nice greenery. Plenty of parking spaces around.
