Riviera Marriott

Position-wise, this hotel is extremely disappointing. The shuttle service is one-way only, and it costs around €30 every time you want to get anywhere, which soon adds up. (paying for the return journey only.) The swimming pool is tiny — barely larger than a paddling pool — and was constantly full of noisy children. Frankly, I struggle to see how it can be particularly relaxing or even hygienic when so many people are packed into such a small space. The only real positive was the wonderful lady at the hotel who booked two excellent restaurants for us. In my opinion, that service alone was worth the €200 we spent, particularly our visit to Momo same as in Berkeley Square. We booked our own cabana at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort and it was worth every penny. At €680 for the day, plus lunch, it was undeniably expensive, but the experience was absolutely fabulous and a world apart from the Marriott. As for the Marriott itself, I honestly would not spend another penny there. The breakfast was poor, the location inconvenient, and overall it simply failed to justify the cost. The Monte-Carlo Bay experience showed exactly how good Monaco hospitality can be when done properly. sometimes one has to pay more. Many thanks again to the Customer Service lady for our bookings. Thank you, also to the service boy who gave us a couple of extra towels which were well needed during our two nights. I asked for extra toilet paper too. As we ran out.

Staff is very attentive, but the room is old and really not up to par. Acceptable breakfast but not worthy of a 4-star hotel. The chairs on the terrace are all covered in pigeon droppings. The location of the hotel and the friendly staff saved my stay, but I will not pay this price again for such a disappointing hotel.

We spent a week in July here as a family. The hotel itself is really nice, the staff are all friendly and super helpful. Rooms clean and have everything you need (including a hairdryer, iron, toiletries and fridge), we had a view over the port where you can watch the boats and helicopters come and go. We had breakfast included which was plentiful, continental and a hot selection available. We also ate a couple of times in the restaurant (Bolinas) which was also very good. Swimming pool is on the smaller side with not many beds but people do come and go throughout the day so we always found a spot. Close to the beach and a couple of beach clubs where you can get sunbeds. Location wise, there are limited places to eat and drink. A small supermarket is a 5 minute walk away. We spent a lot of time eating out in Monaco which is around a 15 minute walk to the port, would highly recommend the one way shuttle bus which leaves every hour (need to book). Overall I can’t fault this hotel and would recommend.
