Hotel de Belgique

I booked the hotel on the phone, a very cold and rude woman answers, but I overlook because I was in a hurry and needed accommodation in Menton. Arriving at the hotel we are “welcomed” by the same woman who took my reservation on the phone, same thing: a very rude and cold person who had little or nothing of “reception”. During the course of the registration process, she did not dignify us with a glance and, when I asked her for advice on where we could eat, with a wave of her hand, she mumbled something and indicated that we would find something outside the hotel. Second floor room without elevator and narrow stairs. The shabby, dirty room, all broken and malfunctioning. Sleepless night, jumps from fright at the passage of the trains in the railway below, noises from the rooms next door, as if the walls were made of paper..... the only positive note, the next morning there was not the lady "kind", but a blond man who welcomed us for breakfast, smiling and extremely available. In short, two opposites

Very good hotel close to the train station and about 5min from the old town. Very good and warm room with stone walls. Decent breakfast and friendly and pleasant staff

We had the family room for 2 adults and 3 children . It was clean and comfortable . Staff were very friendly and great location. We booked through booking . Com and the photos in booking . Com were very accurate. It is basic but exactly as described on booking . Com. Great location.
