This was not just a bad stay; it was a complete disaster capped by shocking dishonesty from the management. Please read the details before you even consider this place. Our stay began with the news that our booked room was unavailable. This forced us to pack all of our 20+ kg luggage the next day and haul it ourselves up and down stairs, as the building has no elevator. Making this worse was the language barrier; the receptionist’s English was non-existent. Every simple request became a 20-minute struggle using Google Translate, which is unacceptable for a hotel catering to international travelers. The rooms themselves were unacceptable. Our first room had a dangerously designed shower with no water stopper, which flooded the entire bathroom floor after every use, creating a slippery mess. After moving to our "correct" room, we discovered the air conditioning was completely broken on a warm day. The staff confirmed they could not fix it and had no other rooms. We agreed to leave based on a promised refund, and the receptionist even confirmed this in writing in the Booking.com chat, stating our departure was due to the "climatisation défectueuse" (defective air conditioning). This is where the true character of the hotel was revealed. Once we left, the management began a campaign of dishonesty. First, they told Booking.com we had "no reason to leave." When confronted with their own staff's written admission, they changed their story again, ridiculously claiming the AC was never defective and that we had a bad "attitude." Do not be fooled by the pictures. The service is non-existent, the rooms are poorly maintained and unsafe, and the management has proven they will lie to keep your money. This establishment failed on every level.

Friendly welcome and quite suitable rates, which is often quite rare for this city, which is usually rather expensive. Clean and functional accommodation. Rooms spacious enough for this category of hotels, sober decor and chic. I recommend Absolutely!

The hotel has an good location 5-10 mins from the Alsace-Lorraine tram stop on the tram to / from the airport and 5 mins walk from the Nice-Ville station (where you can catch trains to Monaco amongst other places). Entrance to the hotel & your room is via pin. There are coffee / tea facilities in the room and robe / slippers too. The front desk is manned a couple of hours each day, but there is a contact number outside of these times. I didn't have breakfast on this occasion so cannot comment on that.
