Chez Brigitte B.

STAY OUT OF HERE! IT IS VERY UNSAFE I stayed at Chez Brigitte Guesthouse from 7 to 8 November and experienced a very traumatic night. Around midnight, a man started banging and screaming loudly on the front door. Later he was even asleep at my room door. The police eventually had to come over and took him away; the door of an adjacent room had been smashed by him. I couldn't sleep all night and left the next morning, days ahead of schedule. This experience felt extremely unsafe.

I' ve paid 50 euro but I don't have access to the room. None respond to me and the keys weren't where was said to me. I have to pay another hotel. WAS A FRAUD. Spend a little more but PLEASE DON'T GO HERE

We couldn't find too many hotels in Nice that could accommodate a family of four In a suite or a big room. But Chez Brigitte fit our needs perfectly when we found it by searching on the Net. The place is a bit hard to find. So carry a cell phone that works in France before you go there late at night or during off hours. The reason is we couldn't find the place and had to find a phone booth nearby that would allow us to make an old fashioned phone call to Brigitte to get the code to enter the place. I wish she would email it to you when you confirm your reservation. This way travelers will not be troubled. We got a large room with 4 beds and it was overlooking the train station. So it was noisy at night but we were so tired we slept through that noise. There was no AC which is a common occurrence in France so we were prepared for its absence. The person managing the property was kind enough to let us use the washer for getting our clothes washed which was a great help. We dried the clothes manually in the room using a cloth hanger she gave us. The kitchen was clean and we used it for breakfast. The bathrooms were clean and roomy. All in all a pleasant stay as long as you take care of the parts I mentioned before.
