Hotel Monet

Never stayed in such a hotel. On arrival stair carpet held down with black tape. Toilet in bedroom, very degrading. Shower unusable. Bedding horrid. Booked for seven nights, really struggled to do one. Ended up booking somewhere else

Going to Nice as a tourist will not give you that relaxing mood when you stay in this hotel. The front door is not easy to open, more difficult if you have a luggage. No elevator, you have to drag you luggage on a staircase that obviously past on his glorious times a long time ago. There is a strange smell on the place and not a pleasant one, too! The room is too small, the toilet does not even have a door! Though I have to admit the room is clean and the guy from the reception is really friendly. Anyway with the room rate I kinda expect that it will really be basic but yeah, I am on a vacation so I deserve better. Really hard to find parking in the area. Good thing is that the hotel is not too far from the Old Town and close to Nice Port. Thus next time better to pay more to avoid disappointments.

The bathroom is inside the room and withoud door as you can see from the picture A strong cigarette smell in the entrance And the picture at Booking is not from this hotel The cleaning lady was realy polite and it was quiet but you cannot call it a hotel
