Mercure Californie Hotel

A hotel offers excellent value for money. The airport is a 15-minute tram ride away, and the center of Nice is also 15 minutes by tram. The free public beach is a 2-minute walk away. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. I recommend it to everyone.

We chose this for a one-night stay in Nice and it met our expectations for the price. Being right across from the sea is one of its biggest advantages. It's also very close to the tram stop, making it easy to get to the city center. Our room was clean and adequate for a short stay. I can't comment on breakfast as we didn't have it at the hotel. It's also a practical option for those traveling by car. We were able to park our car easily in the paid car park across from the hotel and didn't experience any problems. The biggest drawback of the hotel was the lack of refrigerators in the rooms. Not being able to keep the water cold in the room on a hot summer day was a challenge for us. If your aim is to stay in an affordable, clean hotel in Nice just for the sake of accommodation, then this is a great option. It's a preferable option in terms of price-performance ratio, especially for short stays.
