Hotel in a strategic location near the highway exit and just a few meters from the Cap 3000 shopping center. Parking included, airport transfer included, pool included, and super friendly staff included, definitely worth returning to.

I reserved online, but the payment was not processed due to a problem on the site; only the reservation was confirmed. Since my arrival was late, and I wanted to pay in cash or online, the payment did not go through either. I spent an hour at the reception trying to pay online, with no help from the receptionist. Eventually, he told me that he could not assist me and put me out after midnight. I went to Novotel Cap 3000, and fortunately, the online payment went through; the staff was pleasant and helpful. With a free shuttle service upon my return.

Airport hotels are a category in itself where you should expect an inferior grade of balance between price and performance (quality, facilities, standard etc). Be prepared to put up quite some money for a descent room. This is true for nearly all big international airports and is particularly true for Nice Côte d'Azur airport, which is the second largest airport in France. Finding a nearby room for an overnight between flights without braking the bank is a challenge. An option is a more remote hotel, preferably with a shuttle service. Such as Ibis Styles Nice Cap 3000. It's located a couple of kilometers from the airport and you "hail in" the shuttle by giving the hotel reception a call upon arrival. For us it worked very well and the nice chauffeur arrived within 15 min. After a 7 min ride we were at the spot. Located just beside the monster shopping mall "CAP 3000" it is very convenient for all interested in shopping both standard and luxury items without going in to Nice centre itself. Still, being close to this mega-mall, the hotel is very quiet and calm. In CAP 3000 there are also several restaurants of all different kinds - for instance "La Cabane de l'Ecailler", a simply top performer of fish and shellfish dishes. Se my separate review. If not interested in shopping, just walk through the mall and you'll find yourself at the beach (Plage Costeau). The Ibis chain is part of the Accor group and is one of the largest hotel groups in the world. Aimed at budget and middle class travellers, Ibis has a category called "Ibis Styles". With an intention of being budget but at the same time offer some "styling" of the interior, these hotels often include breakfast in the price. Don't expect too much though of the styling concept - for Cap 3000 it was moderate and didn't affect the overall feeling of a quite simple budget hotel. It's very much a 3-star hotel. That said, this Ibis Styles offer a good night's sleep in rather small but quiet rooms with working AC and standard amenities. There's a bar in the lounge/reception area where the breakfast also is served. Outside you'll find a big pool - quiet and on the whole very nice. A real plus! As mentioned breakfast is included. Basically a continental French breakfast, it is reinforced with eggs, fruit, cheese and some charcuteries. Just fine. The staff is friendly and helpful and the shuttle chauffeurs eager to assist you with bags etc. To sum it up: with just a short transport you get a substantially better price/performance than if you take a hotel on walking distance from the terminals. The pool and the quietness is a big plus. Coming from a long flight it is a treat to relax here. And next day you are driven back to the airport ready for your next flight. As mentioned in the beginning, one can't judge airport hotels like ordinary hotels. Therefore the four TA-dots I give is fair in this respect. If it were a city hotel it would have been lower. Nevertheless: recommended.
