NOVOTEL CENTRE

Price/Quality very pricey. Outdated rooms, pretty dirty even. Location just on edge old town but quite far from everything. Almost not possible to do everything on foot, does stop a bus in front of hotel or you can use rental bikes, you have a meeting point right in front of the hotel, which is quite easy and doable but not everyone likes that of course. Breakfast I can't say anything about, food restaurant is okay, no more but service really lacks knowledge and skills. Ordering something at the bar takes forever. There was a themed evening barbecue one night, we thought nicely... waiters come to record, we take aperitifs and food is recorded at the same time. What do you think... food is served and had not even received our aperitif. If you then make a comment about it, no action is taken, thought this was rather normal. The cocktails or aperitifs are also very basic. They would give it in a so-to-speak lemonade glass, too. I'm not supposed to say they're not friendly, absolutely not, but just really don't expect too much from them. Very ordinary and austere all while the prices are quite expensive. Recommended... not really. Are we coming back... no, definitely not.

One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I genuinely don't understand how this hotel has a 4-star rating. The air conditioning barely worked during a very hot period, making the rooms unbearable and leaving my family exhausted throughout the holiday. Despite reporting it twice, reception simply said they were aware of the issue with no solution or update. The lifts are far too small and slow for a hotel of this size, and on an occasion morning staff made loud noise moving trolleys and slamming metal gates above our room. On two separate occasions staff just walked into my room without knocking, one at around 7am, just apologized and quickly closed the door behind them, this is simply outrageous, and caused me a major concern with security for me and my entire family. Somehow after our room was cleaned someone must have also misplaced my daughter's sentimental toy, which stayed in her room. Reception checked but the cleaning staff hadn't seen it and couldn't even provide contact details for the off-site laundry company. The hotel also advertises inconsistent room standards. One room had a modern smart TV while the other had an outdated TV. My request to change rooms was refused despite rooms appearing to be available online. The beds were squeaky, the pool was dirty, and the sun loungers felt unsafe, with people tipping backwards. They also have no internal shop or the ability to buy any snacks, drinks, basic medicine, hygiene items etc a simple vending machine would have been very helpful, especially when you have children with you. On departure, reception promised the manager would email me about these issues, but I never received anything. We spent a lot of money on this holiday, and the hotel experience completely ruined what should have been a relaxing family break. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel others should be aware. I won't stay at this Novotel hotels again, and I would recommend families to consider other options.

a good hotel to stay overnight as it takes around 20 minutes to get to the beach and 30 minutes to walk to some attractions in the city centre. the room is rather clean, but air-conditioning produces noise. but I was so tired that it didn't prevent me from sleeping tight...the only remark is that the parking space near the hotel is very limited, just for 5-6 cars, but there's parking opposite the hotel,though not free of charge...
