Hotel Du Pont Vieux

A charming hotel in the heart of Carcassonne. The hotel is located on a pedestrian street, but the staff provide very clear instructions on how to drive up to the property to drop off your luggage. There is also a convenient paid parking garage nearby if needed. One of the highlights of the hotel is definitely the rooftop terrace, which offers a fabulous panoramic view over Carcassonne – a wonderful spot to enjoy the city from above. As the hotel is located in a historic building, our room wasn’t particularly large, but it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the lovely view over the main street. Breakfast was excellent, with a generous and varied selection, including gluten-free options. We had breakfast in the beautiful inner courtyard, which is a real little gem and made the experience even more enjoyable. Connected to the hotel there is also a lovely shop selling local food specialities, with plenty of tempting products to and take home. The location is perfect for enjoying the city, and the street itself is full of restaurants, so there are plenty of options for dinner just a few steps away. A charming and welcoming place, full of character, in a fantastic location for discovering Carcassonne.

Hotel very well located at the foot of the city. Clean and well-maintained, and above all the owners are extremely friendly, attentive, and accommodating. A real pleasure, comfortable room and pretty courtyard away from the street noise. Do not hesitate...

At the foot of the citadel and a stone's throw from the bastide, this friendly hotel is perfect for a stopover (cyclists, in our case) in Carcassonne. We particularly appreciated the advice from the people who worked at the front desk, and the breakfast in the garden
