It is a hotel in an amazing location, at the foot of the Cité. The room, ours was on the ground floor next to the reception, was spacious and clean, equipped with air conditioning (in France, it is not yet taken for granted that it is available). The buffet breakfast has a varied selection of savory and sweet options. The staff is friendly. The hotel has a pool, but we did not use it, nor did we ask where it was located. The facility can be reached from the SNCF station via bus 3, whose nearest stop is in front of the Porte de Narbonne, one of the gates of the Cité. From here, with a short descent of just a few minutes, perhaps 3 or 4, you arrive at the hotel. Nearby and in front of the hotel, there are restaurants. The area is quiet; the center and the Bastide (historic district and city center) can also be reached on foot with a 15-minute walk if one does not want to use the bus.

Unfortunately, one of the most unfriendly experiences I have had in a hotel in recent years. Upon my arrival, I entered the reception, greeted the staff member kindly with "Bonjour," and was initially just stared at in disbelief. Only after a longer, uncomfortable pause did she respond at all. Then a discussion began about my name, even though the reservation was correct and matched my ID. Instead of professionally seeking a solution, I was initially informed that no reservation existed. Later, the same tone of voice was evident. When I wanted to get towels, no assistance was offered without a room number, even though I had checked in just a few minutes earlier. Overall, there was an impression of unnecessary harassment instead of customer service. It is worth highlighting the friendly and helpful cleaning staff. The room itself was clean, although quite small. There is little to criticize regarding the cleanliness and the accommodation itself. However, what significantly overshadowed the stay was the treatment at the reception. Unfortunately, friendliness, service orientation, and professionalism were hardly present. Clean room, but a service level that I have not experienced in many years. Therefore, I cannot recommend this hotel despite its good location with parking.

We spent a night in this hotel and greatly appreciated the location at the foot of the ramparts. Car parking, which is very pleasant. Room was very good, large shower, breakfast was very good, and we cannot forget the kindness, friendliness, and availability of all the staff. In short, it was a very good stay. I highly recommend it if you wish to visit the city of Carcassonne!
