Mercure Strasbourg Quartier Saint Jean

Excellent hotel in a great location. The privilege room we stayed in was very comfortable and well designed. The location of the hotel was perfect for discovering the old town and Petit France on foot. Really good buffet breakfast lots of choice and high quality. Special mention to housekeeping the hotel and room was spotless.

Good hotel, centrally located between train station and city centre - a few minutes walk from both. I stayed in 2 rooms as the first room (standard) had an issue with the safe. The standard room was fine, however small details were strange like there was no shelf in the shower and only one door on the balcony opened so not possible to sit out. The upgraded room was obviously larger, had a fridge, shelf in the shower (not exactly a luxury!!), a reclining chair, a coffee maker instead of a kettle. Apart from the fridge none of this was worth the extra. The standard room was just as good. The same issue occurred with the balcony door in the upgraded room but was even worse as the bed pretty much blocked access. The AC was poor, the lowest it would go to was 22 degrees so I don't think they should advertise AC if it doesn't go down to 19 degrees at least. They did provide a fan which helped though. Due to the AC I wouldn't stay again in the summer but other seasons I would return and recommend. The staff were somewhat dismissive of the issue with the safe even though I found it stressful - around 11pm the safe stopped working - could not open it and was beeping, so I couldn't access my valuables. The night manager knew nothing about the safe and had no one to contact. The manager in the morning knew how to fix it but was very dismissive of the inconvenience, she seemed to think it was to my advantage as I got an upgraded room. Thankfully this didn't happen on my last night which would have been more stressful with the worry if they could open it at all and I was under pressure for a trainlight.

Great stay in Strasbourg with a visit to nearby villages such as Colmar or Riquewir for example. Perfect privilege room, clean and great breakfast varia.Personale kind and disponibile.Da return even being vucinonalla Strasbourg station and the center of town.
