CAMPANILE - AIX EN PROVENCE LA BEAUVALLE

Fine for 1 night and a good price. It was more of a motel than a hotel which was fine but it meant you had to keep the curtains closed to stop people seeing in, this wouldn't normally be an issue but the lights in the room weren't very bright, we ended up having to switch the desk lamp on. The bathroom smelled like drains, however the weather was very hot so not sure if this played a part. There also didn't seem to be any hand towels in the bathroom so we had to use the towels we used for the shower. The positives were the location (very close to the main road making an ideal stop off), free parking, a decent smart TV in the room and good air con (don't expect ice cold but the room was still a comfortable temperature even in 36 degree heat)

The stock photos don’t really reflect the shabbiness of this hotel. If it was under 100 euros a night I would have awarded it 4 stars but at 150 euros per night it’s poor value for money. It was quite warm and the AC wasn’t great. We tried the evening buffet and it wasn’t too bad for the money. Plenty of parking and easy access into Aix on the #4 bus

The rooms are very good. However, the buffet for lunch and dinner is not the best... What a shame.
