Notice to the next traveler. This hotel takes advantage of their geographical location to impose abusive sales techniques; you arrive and your room is ready? In a normal establishment, you can access it. Not here! You must pay €10 per hour! Otherwise, you wait until 3 PM like donkeys in the reception area (even though the room is ready). Moreover, Manager Mr. Fournier and the staff speak to you with outrageous arrogance and an extremely dry and cold tone. We will promptly contact the Mercure group as well as the ACCOR Hotel group to inform them of this.

On the occasion of my brother's wedding, we stayed at the Mercure Aix-en-Provence Sainte-Victoire. The setting is beautiful, the hotel is very pleasant, and the rooms are comfortable. Unfortunately, the behavior of the management and the reception staff completely ruined our experience. We were a group of about fifty people who came specifically for a wedding organized right across from the hotel. We felt that the establishment was taking advantage of this situation to impose practices that we found abusive. For example, while some rooms were already ready, an extra charge of €10 per hour was requested to access them before the official time. They know that wedding guests need to prepare and often have no other solution. Beyond the extra charge itself, it was mainly the attitude of the staff and management that shocked us: no sense of service, no understanding of the situation, no commercial gesture, and no apology. On the contrary, we were met with remarks and a manner of speaking that are not worthy of an establishment of this category. Another very concerning problem: some guests had booked two nights, but upon arrival, only one night had been recorded. To keep the second night, the rate had, coincidentally, significantly increased. This situation is completely unacceptable. It is really a shame, as the hotel benefits from a very beautiful setting. With a more professional management and a more attentive staff, the experience would have been completely different. I therefore wish to warn future brides and their families: if you choose this hotel because it is ideally located for a wedding in the area, be particularly vigilant regarding your reservation and any additional fees that may be requested. A very beautiful address aesthetically, but a customer management that is, according to our experience, far from being up to par. I also specify that the hotel will surely respond that they had warned us by phone. It is true, but we were also explained that even by booking and paying for early arrival, no room would be guaranteed to us any earlier. Paying an extra fee without any guarantee makes no sense. Finally, the most shocking aspect remains the attitude of the manager (François Fournier). Instead of calming an already tense situation, he systematically exacerbated it with his tone and manner of addressing the customers. A manager should demonstrate listening skills and professionalism, not fuel the conflict.
