Hotel La Rotonde

We spent one of the worst nights of our lives. The bed was completely broken down, a real straw mattress, hell! If you have back problems, and even if you don't, run away! The toilets were very dirty upon our arrival, and the shower very narrow: a tall or slightly overweight person simply cannot get in and wash properly! Very average breakfast, with little choice. Everything is wrapped in plastic... really not great! And to top it all off, they took an imprint of my bank card, which took them more than a week to release, even though I had paid upon my arrival at the hotel. The payment, for its part, took more than 10 days to be credited back to my account... Shameful! In short, a hotel to avoid, very expensive for catastrophic service!

I am giving 1 star because I cannot give less. I booked a room on August 14, 26 at La Rotonde. Avoid room 41. 166 euros with breakfast for a terrible night. The bedding is simply a disgrace. The mattress and the box spring are simply worn out even though I already have major back problems! The hygiene also leaves something to be desired (questionable crumbs in the toilet bowl despite the famous ribbon attesting to the cleanliness). In the morning, the staff that you barely see makes sure not to ask you if you slept well! As for the bank hold, we had to wait more than 10 days for it to be removed from our account. In conclusion, if you want a room where you won't sleep at night and you have major back problems, I recommend room 41!! Shameful! I will never return to this hotel again.

We stayed two nights at La Rotonda during our trip through the Calanques. It is located in the historic center and has few parking spaces, but there is a large paid parking lot right in front if needed. The property is a classic 2/3-star hotel. We did not have breakfast as there are many bakeries nearby. We have nothing negative to report.
