I will distinguish between the hotel and the restaurant in my review: The hotel is atypical and retains all its charm from the 60s/70s. The bedding is very comfortable, the room was clean and functional. The welcome was very minimalist (even cold). They do not explain much to you (Wi-Fi? breakfast and pool opening hours...). Beach towel loans are possible (we were not told), but there are very few, so not enough for the guests; the tables in the pool area are not cleared between guests (cigarette butts, empty glasses...); there are many children and friends of the staff who use the spaces, sometimes to the detriment of the guests. It has a bit of a campground vibe without really knowing who works at the hotel or not. Let's just say it is not a hotel for a romantic weekend or for resting. The motel vibe goes along with the "road noise" and the heat (except in the air-conditioned rooms). For mosquitoes, definitely bring repellent because it is hellish, but that is just how the area is. The hotel breakfast (including the service) was very good! The restaurant: dinner was very good, but the service lasted 2 hours. We had a reservation, but 3 servers walked past us without greeting us. Major organizational problem. Changes to ingredients on the menu were not announced. Forgot to take our order. Forgot to send our dessert orders to the kitchen (the cook was on a break at the end of the shift with a server while we still did not have our desserts). And for payment, the server was chatting with her colleague while she was processing our payment. Not professional at all. We spoke with other guests who confirmed that the service was very slow and very peculiar. However, there were not many of us. Conclusion: it is a good experience if you like retro architecture, but the quality of the welcome, communication, and services does not match the room rates. The restaurant (chef-in-residence) really detracts from the overall experience.

A place that is astonishing for its architecture and its decor that sends you back to the 70s. The cuisine is inventive and well-executed, but it is a restaurant that offers a residency to the kitchen team, so the chef changes very often. Worth knowing!

"Camargue-Japanese" dinner... It's okay for the mosquitoes but not for dinner. A limited selection presented on an illegible chalkboard. Nothing to do with Japanese cuisine except for the tiny pot of soy sauce! The worst part is that the waiter wanted to seat us at a low coffee table.. Passable for having a drink but not for dinner.. For the price, expensive but consistent with the chalkboard except for the cocktail, which was quite mediocre but charged at 13€ to my great surprise since this price had not been indicated on the menu nor mentioned before ordering. In short, avoid it.
