Holiday Inn Express Marseille

The hotel itself was in a terrible state. Everything seemed old, worn out, and constantly creaking. It felt poorly maintained and nowhere near the standard that guests should expect when paying for a stay. Instead of being able to relax, we were left frustrated by the condition of the property. What truly ruined the experience, however, was the behaviour of one particular staff member. She was shockingly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout our stay. Every question was met with attitude, and every interaction felt hostile and uncomfortable. Rather than helping guests, she seemed determined to make things as difficult as possible. As Muslim guests, we left feeling unwelcome and treated differently. Whether intentional or not, the way we were spoken to and the attitude shown towards us was deeply upsetting and completely unacceptable. No guest should leave a hotel feeling disrespected because of who they are. Customer service is supposed to make guests feel welcome. Instead, this member of staff managed to turn an already poor hotel into a genuinely miserable experience. Between the rundown condition of the hotel and the appalling service we received, this was easily one of the worst stays I have ever had. I would strongly advise others to spend their money elsewhere

Not sure IHG would want to stay here. The room I stayed in smelled of drains, the restaurant is truly awful, breakfast costs you 20 Euros for a poor selection and I have to say the dinner I was served was truly disgusting- seared salmon that had been steamed for 2 seconds and was raw and cold . I would definitely not stay here again

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Marseille Airport with my partner. The hotel is very clean, quiet, and ideally located near the airport. The room was comfortable and perfectly maintained. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and we really enjoyed it. The dishes were high quality, the service was fast, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. A big thank you also to Sarah, the receptionist, who was very kind and very professional. We had a small issue with the television in our room that was not working, and she immediately took care of finding a solution. Her welcome, her smile, and her availability really made the difference. I recommend this hotel without hesitation and we will return with pleasure during a future visit to Marseille.
