Hotel des Quatrans

2 hours before our check-in, the hotel calls us to announce that one of the rooms we had reserved is finally no longer available. No solution proposed, no compensation, NOTHING. After a long discussion, we are finally called back to be told that everything is finally "settled" and that our room is indeed available. Upon our arrival, another unpleasant surprise: the room assigned to us had not even been cleaned. The previous guest's dirty sheets were still on the bed. We are then moved to another room... but the bed is not even made, even though the room is supposed to be "ready." The cleanliness also leaves something to be desired: bathroom trash can not emptied, hair in the shower, stained towels... Added to this is very poor soundproofing (you can hear everything that happens in the hallway and neighboring rooms) and stifling heat in the rooms. The only positive point is the breakfast, which was rather decent, as well as the number of parking spaces available nearby. Given this accumulation of problems, I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.

Visited Jun 26 as a group of 5 friends. Situated in the centre of Caen, very close to the castle walls etc. so location is great. Rooms were clean, well maintained and everything worked. Check in was very Efficient and friendly. Breakfast was very good, timings are to be considered if big groups are staying but the food was very good. Underground parking is about a 4-5 min walk away. One slight negative is the room did not have AC. It was warm and being situated in a busy area, it’s not ideal to have the window open if it’s hot as it was on our stay. But overall we had a good stay. Many thanks.

An address where you feel comfortable. Comfort, cleanliness and calm are at the rendezvous. All you need is a mini fridge to be on top. Perfect Welcoming. Great location close to shops and restaurants.... Parking nearby. In short on Caen, I would go back without looking elsewhere.
