Not what was expected, very basic to say the least. I would recommend reading all the reviews carefully i certainly wish we had . I’ve never written a bad review before. Firstly I felt insulted at the front door which wasn’t a good start. This hotel is on Sword Beach. The whole town and surrounding areas tourism thrives on D Day visitors.. There is a sign on the front door telling visitors proudly which languages are spoken French 🇫🇷, English 🇮🇸 Hindi 🇮🇳 How can they have an Icelandic flag for English? There are Union Flags all over the town and surrounding areas. This is quite insulting, I asked them to remove it on Monday when I arrived and on Friday it was still there. When I questioned them again about it when I checked out, they were just indifferent and didn’t care. And on top of that they just about understand English. it's definitely not very well understood by any means. The reviews I’ve read today say the same about the level of French as well. Bring your own soap The bathroom had One small sample sachet of body wash and no other soap. the sink had a broken plug and the bath had no plug at all. It 2 stars so is basic but at the prices they are taking the …. This is Ibis prices. Breakfast We were given a little basket with a small baguette cut in half and few baby pastries, fruit, cereal coffee and orange juice- not worth €11. The manager walks around the breakfast area and doesn’t communicate which is a bit creepy but probably because he doesn’t speak French or English. The positive for the hotel, the young lady on reception (possibly the daughter) always has a smile and tries her best 👍🏻

Small family hotel, clean rooms, hearty breakfast, managers are discreet and very helpful. Good location of the hotel near the beach, accessible on foot. Good experience.

For simplicity, cleanliness, quiet, breakfast a hotel without chichi in which we will return 2 steps from the sea an unbeatable value for money
