Pierre & Vacances - Residence Premium & Spa Houlgate

We stayed for a weekend as a group of three; the residence is well-located. Beautiful view from the room. On the other hand, the PREMIUM concept means that the accommodation should be impeccable. - very chipped paint in the kitchen on the furniture and stairs. - sink upstairs impossible to open without the help of a knife. - exposed electrical wires from the bare lamp in the children's room. - stains on the mattress. - as for the spa, they charge us for cheap slippers if we don't have flip-flops, knowing that we can walk in shoes to the locker rooms and then go in flip-flops to the spa, so it's unnecessary to dare to walk in the traces left by the shoes, thus not very hygienic.

Perched on the heights, facing the ocean, the residence has everything to please: the setting, the accommodations, the services, and the welcoming team, everything is excellent. We occupied a 4-person apartment located in the main building right next to the reception with a view of the sea and Houlgate below. The accommodation is perfectly functional and has been renovated. Two points of attention: the two beds in the room are separated (this is indicated at the time of booking, but I did not pay attention). However, the teams will come to set them up as a double bed upon simple request. The other point is the location itself. The small terrace opens directly onto the pool. And thus, the pool opens directly onto the terrace and the adjoining living room. Schedules are arranged so that children only have access to the pool in the afternoon, but during high season, I think the proximity can cause noise...and visual disturbances (remember to put on pajamas in the morning!!). Otherwise, it is a very beautiful residence with two heated pools, a hammam, and a sauna available for free (schedules are also arranged for adults/children) and located in an exceptional green setting.

We had a pleasant stay. We rented a house, which was clean and we did not encounter any particular problem. The host staff was nice, smiling and knew how to answer different questions.
