Ibis La Rochelle Vieille Ville

Great location. Near bus station for trips. The market is next to it with lots to do. Loads of shops snd eateries close by. For such a central location it was very quite at night. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was high quality and nice variety. The room was comfortable. Bed very comfortable. Shower very powerful.

Hotel chosen for its relatively honest rate... considering the prices charged in La Rochelle in season... However, this old hotel was designed to put the maximum number of guests in a minimum amount of space, hence a feeling of being oppressed in a cramped space.. The bathroom is Lilliputian.. Basic comfort.. It's hardly worth more than 2/5...breakfast not taken on site but in the open air around the market..

Very well located as everything can be done on foot. The room is small and the bathroom even smaller, as if you are tall, you will not be able to close the door while on the toilet. A hotel for a one-night stay only.
