An enjoyable stay with friends - probably the right time of the year as a little calmer. Location very convenient in the centre of Couarde.-sur-Mer . Parking (payable, but free overnight) within about 100 metres. We had comfy superior rooms, would have preferred a shower, rather than a hand held one over the bath. Rooms quiet at night, despite being on the small square. (apart from our friends’s room, where they had to contend with a very noisy and yappy dog until quite late at night, in the adjacent room. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy walking distance to local restaurants. (Tapas served until early evening here - but not sampled!)
Can’t comment on breakfast, as we had eaten very well the previous evening, at a restaurant near the beach.
