Motel-style hotel, room a bit cramped but comfortable mattress, nice decor but room on the ground floor a bit dark, lack of soundproofing but decent breakfast. Smiling staff at breakfast. After driving nearly 800 km, this stop could have been pleasant if it hadn't been ruined by a zealous "employee."
I introduced myself at the front desk upon my arrival. When the receptionist asked me to pay for the entire stay immediately, I requested the possibility of paying the next morning upon my departure. I was told that this was not a problem.
I therefore went to my room, changed, and settled in to rest from this long trip. A little later, the room phone rang: another person at the front desk ordered us, in a particularly curt tone, to quickly come to the front desk to pay for the entire night.
Forced to change clothes to go to the front desk with my vacation vouchers, I pointed out to this second person that it would have been better to let me pay the next morning after breakfast, or at the very least to respect the agreement made by her colleague a few minutes earlier. To which I was told, curtly, that the instructions were strict and that one must pay the full amount upon arrival, just like in any store.
Allow me to be surprised by such a comparison: in a shop or a restaurant, you pay when you take the goods or at the end of the meal, not when you walk through the door. Perhaps I was going to have more expenses the next day? But beyond the business logic, it is above all the lack of consideration for a client exhausted by the road that I deplore. Interrupting a client's rest in their room for a simple formality that had been validated upon my arrival is not acceptable.
I am not going to dwell on the failure to give me back 2 euros during payment, but the tone of their remarks reduced all the work provided by the rest of their colleagues on our stay to nothing. We are ultimately left with a bitter taste that erases the positive aspects of the hotel.
A bitterness that pushes me to point out that there is no basic orientation map in the room and that the signage (attached) is totally non-compliant.
In France, emergency numbers are the same on landlines and mobile phones. The numbers indicated for the mobile phone are completely false or wacky:
The Fire Department (118 on mobile): Very dangerous error! 118 redirects to paid telephone directory assistance services. The fire department can be reached at 18 or 112.
The Police (117 on mobile): 117 is absolutely not the police number (it is 17 or 112).
The SAMU (115 on mobile): 115 is the Social SAMU (emergency shelter), not the medical emergencies of the SAMU (which is 15 or 112).
The Gendarmerie (13 / 113): 13 and 113 do not exist for the gendarmerie (it is 17 or 112).
Missing 112: The single European emergency number (accessible from any mobile phone, including without a SIM card) must imperatively appear on the instructions in establishments open to the public (ERP).
The English Translation (Critical typo)
"Warm the reception desk": The English instruction asks to heat/warm up the reception instead of alerting the reception desk (warn the reception desk). In case of fire, this is rather amusing, but it is problematic on an official sign.
Before rushing customers to pay upon their arrival to gain a few hours, the establishment should rush to comply with standards and welcome people in a friendly and professional manner.

Trip of the seniors' club from the north. One week, hotel and restaurant are excellent.
Only concern, a group of 40 people and we were criticized for making too much noise!!!!
Young waitress who reprimanded us! We never saw the manager; in my opinion, the young staff is of good quality but lacks supervision!
What would it be like with a group of teenagers, especially during the World Cup! By the way, regret not being able to watch a match collectively at the bar!
