Residence Odalys Le Hameau Du Moulin

Magnificent region. Very well-located vacation center. Pleasant welcome and attentive team.

The positive: Good geographical location of the residence. View of a field with cows, small stream in front of the terrace with visits from ducks. Shaded terrace. No outside noise in the evening and at night. Large and pleasant pool. The negative: Dirty apartment: Urine drips on the base of the toilet, yellowed and slimy bathroom seals, mold, dirt behind the sofa, stained walls. Non-existent privacy on the terraces (no separation between the terraces which are 50cm from each other). Zero soundproofing between apartments (drywall partitions), you won't sleep later than 7:30 AM. No A/C, fan upon request and in insufficient numbers. Coffee maker impossible to plug in because the power cord is too short (had to buy an extension cord). Awful smell in the storage room under the stairs. We are promised Wi-Fi that is almost non-existent...once connected to the network, it takes 2 or 3 minutes for a page as simple as Google Maps to load and the connection cuts out after 5 minutes and you have to start all over again...might as well tell you that if you don't have a good hotspot on your phone, you won't have internet. Accommodation supposed to be for 6 people...honestly 4 is okay, 6 would be unlivable. No supervision at the pool, so people do whatever they want, they dive on top of you, run around the pool, and make comments to you as soon as you point out their lack of civility. In terms of infrastructure, apart from the pool, don't expect anything other than a dormitory-style residence... there isn't even a simple drink vending machine. On the morning of departure, no carts were available to go from the apartment to the parking lot with suitcases, bags, and various equipment... pulling heavy suitcases with small wheels on gravel paths is a workout! Not only are there not enough carts for all the residents, but some are monopolized all morning by the cleaning staff! Of course, all of this taken separately is not very serious (apart from the lack of cleanliness, which is unacceptable), but the accumulation of small things ruins the stay.

Residence very well located right next to Lascaux and a 10-minute walk from the city center. A huge number of activities and places to visit in the surrounding area. Very good, relaxing, and educational stay. We will come back. The residence is of good quality! Well-maintained with a lovely heated pool, it would deserve a small renovation in the coming years to stay up to date and improve comfort. I recommend coming here.
