Souillac Golf & Country Club

Wonderful chalet, we were happy with the air conditioning due to very high temperatures. The golf course was due to the dryness very bumpy but the greens were very good (and green). We will be back next year.

The house did not meet our expectations. It was not located by the golf course but in the woods with no view of the course. The furnishings are very dated and worn. A curtain for the kitchen window was missing, and several other curtains were torn. The bottle rack in the refrigerator was missing, its support broken off. 'For Sale' signs hung on the windows; not very welcoming. The house has a gloomy atmosphere. We could not sleep upstairs the first night; it was too hot. An extra rented fan did not help. Naturally, the organization cannot do anything about the high outside temperature, but we did not want to stay in a house that could not be cooled. A request upon arrival for another house, with air conditioning and the necessary additional payment, could not be granted. All in all, we left on Tuesday instead of Saturday. We cancelled our first round of golf because we had barely slept the night before on the two-seater sofas in the living room. We completed our second round of golf up to hole 9, at which point we ran out of energy. We had already left by the other two times. We will also inform the Pin High organization about the expectations raised by the offer for this week of golfing at Souillac. We are aware that the weather was an important factor, but a pleasant house would have made our holiday more enjoyable and not led to its cancellation. Setting, accommodation, site, and golf are always very pleasant and enjoyable. Staff at the reception, pro shop, and restaurant are attentive, helpful, and very friendly. One downside this year regarding the dining experience was a bit disappointing: not always a daily menu or identical dishes for several days. The quality and choices have significantly declined, the burgers are not very good, and there is no foie gras even for an extra charge. What a shame.
