De France Hotel

Very well-located establishment with secure parking. Charming welcome and large room (we were lucky to be upgraded). The only small downside was the breakfast. We had to clean and set the table (on the terrace), there were certain "items" missing, despite the not-so-late arrival time (9:00 AM).

In the heart of Valencia, this historic hotel is being renovated. Having been able to benefit from one of the redone rooms, there is no doubt that it will again become a jewel in the city’s hotel. Very nice arrangements, between chameleon sofa and brown leather headboard. Very large screen and large window overlooking the beautiful Romanesque church. Extensive soundproofing. Generous king size bed

The Hotel de France surprised us – it is very nice and tastefully decorated, the rooms are clean and well equipped, the staff are friendly and service-oriented (especially on Sunday afternoons at check-in) and a parking space (for a fee) is available directly in the courtyard. The location, right on the edge of the old town, is optimal. Breakfast is OK, for 20 € / person I would have expected a little more. Due to the fact that a construction site was set up in the yard, the departure did not go optimally and the information we meant nicely that the elevator (the construction workers blocked it) as well as the heating and the light on the mirror in the bathroom did not work, were taken “wrong” by the staff. No matter how – we would come back 😉.
