Le Tumulus

Wonderful experience. Excellent hotel, in a wonderful location, near the archaeological garden. Convenient parking, excellent breakfast, nice pool. The rooms are beautiful but without air conditioning (France).... The staff is welcoming. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

An 8-night stay that went perfectly, even though a few remarks can be made. Exceptional environment and sea view with the tumulus behind. Our room (21) on the second floor under the roofs was large, well arranged, had a very nice view, perfect bedding, and supplies (water, herbal tea...) replenished daily. Remarks: plumbing without a mixer and bathtub exit can be tricky with wet feet, plumbing that drips. Lacks air conditioning and a small fridge. Very pleasant hotel, bright, very clean with a charmingly outdated appeal. Very nice park and a beautiful pool wonderfully maintained by the very friendly Fabien. Breakfasts were perfect... but lacking seasonal fruits (apricots, peaches, nectarines, melon). The dining room is magnificent and spacious. In terms of dining, one can feel the chef's touch, who aims to please his guests with a complete daily menu. We regretted the lack of fresh dishes (due to the heatwave) and too much meat (pork, veal, duck breast) in the evening when we expected more fish or shellfish, but all of this is just a personal and debatable opinion. The most undeniable aspect of this establishment lies in the kindness of all the staff to ensure your happiness. From the Director to the "little hands," everyone is focused on your well-being. No one in the room and a word under the guidance of Mary, perfect, especially Lisa and Aglaé. Always anticipating your expectations and needs, always a smile and an attentive ear: a big thank you to you. Kudos to the team in charge of the rooms and congratulations to the reception. Thanks again to Fabien for his advice on archaeological sites, and finally, thank you to the Director for instilling such an atmosphere. Superior room with breakfast at 169 euros per night. Comfortable bed, clean room but not really spacious. Breakfast is very good with homemade pastries. The quality is to be stressed. Do not hesitate to ask for soy or almond milk as they are not available. Beautiful view (far) of the ocean, the peninsula and its islands from the rooms (located upstairs) and the breakfast room. The staff is very friendly. Cons: the bathroom faucet is very nice but it will take time to set the right temperature (no mixer). The rim of the bathtub is high enough, be careful when leaving, you should not lack flexibility.
