Park Inn Arcachon

This is our favorite place to stay while visiting Arcachon for a few days. The location is excellent, right around the corner from the waterfront and the boardwalk, and the hotel offers underground parking which is very helpful for wheelchair users. The PMR (wheelchair accessible) room is excellent and we appreciate that the room has NO carpet, as carpet is very difficult for wheelchair and manual hoyer lift users. The room is clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast buffet is excellent and delicious. Special thanks to the reception staff Manon, Cassandra and Pascale for their help when we ended up needing to stay longer as a result of an unresolved car problem. They were very patient with us even when we tired and stressed out, and we appreciated them a lot! They also held our luggage for us after we checked out as we still had to wait for our car to be repaired until quite late in the day, and they were supportive and helpful until the very end.

We are talking about the hospitality of a hotel in a beautiful location but with totally inadequate, grumpy, frustrated, and rude staff. Spent two sleepless nights out of two, even though we had pointed out the problem after the first night, trusting in a definitive solution. Totally ignored, making excuses of every kind and type, managers absent and when present as if they weren't there, abandoned in the middle of the lobby waiting for an answer that never came.. the problem is not with the reception but with the room, this is how they dismissed us! The hotel industry is something else! Professionalism is something else entirely! Let's also skip the total lack of attention to cleaning with a room full of mold and peeling walls, even though we weren't beachfront, and the ineptitude of customer support with absent maintenance. Don't let yourself be charmed by the proximity to the ocean, it's the only thing they have, because the rest is just smoke and mirrors!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel B in Arcachon. It is very well located in relation to both the beach and the city center. The atmosphere there is soothing and calls for calm. The welcome from the very attentive staff is perfect. They are also full of good advice for visits or good restaurants in the city. The breakfast is varied and hearty.
