Chateau Du Pian

At first glance, the inside is most attractive. The outside ...weed-b-gon and wasp/hornet killer needed. The breakfast was good. The dog needs a bath. The owner needs an attitude adjustment...BIG TIME! All and all, this chateau has the makings to be a top notch place. The management needs to go!!

We are touring France every two years hopping from chateau to chateau. The chateau du Pian is unfortunately the worse chateau were we spent two night over more than 40 chateaux we have stayed so far. The owner is not friendly and rather condescending. The room need to be cleaner , the first night the electric toilet did not function . There are so many places to stay in Bordeaux area, why staying in a place relatively expensive for what they are offering

In great need of an update and some interest in the cleanliness and atmosphere. Unlike mnay Chateau's, the only common area was the breakfast dining room. No real greeting, or even a drink on arrival on a hot summers day. No appearance of the charms of yester year. Just old furniture ( yes some nice enough antiques) that you get to see in your own room and the office. Rickety chairs, smelly, dusty, cobwebs and with all woodowrk needing a coat of paint. Windows could not be opened , so no air in hot summer weather. Breakfast , not worth the 17E when you consier there was no cooked aspect at all, but a bare continiental. The expereince has put us off Chateau's forever despite an earlier much better experience, I think a nice 4 or 5 ** htel will serve you better for a far fairer price.
