The room was ok but I overall do not recommend. Service was subpar.
I was NOT told that breakfast was extra, but was told the time window, so I was surprised at checkout that I was being charged. It felt more misleading this way than to not mention breakfast at all. To be fair, Samy was helpful when I had other questions and perhaps he forgot to mention the price, but that is important to not forget.
When checking out, I expressed that the breakfast charge was not communicated when I checked in. The person at the front desk, Modou, was not particularly apologetic. He gave the impression that it wasn't his problem to address.
Enzo was seated on the nearby couch and witnessed the interaction. Instead of stepping in to improve the situation, he walked past me and rudely said "Byeee" in a completely unprofessional manner. This was absolutely unnecessary and I felt disrespected from this treatment.
Adding to this, Modou said nothing after printing the invoice. He didn't even hand it to me. He casually placed it on the counter and pretended I was not there. I think it is bare minimum to thank a guest for their stay and apologize for any miscommunication on behalf of the team.
Given that the place is small and there were no other guests around, I felt unsafe while waiting for my taxi to the airport as Modou and Enzo were in the breakfast area. Therefore, I do not recommend Hotel Churchill Bordeaux Centre.

We were at the hotel for only one night in April. It was in a very convenient location and the room was surprisingly spacious, but what really impressed us was the friendliness and helpfulness of Leo, the young woman who was at the front desk. She was very attentive to make sure our particular needs were met. She treated us like we were old friends, which we really appreciated. We would recommend this hotel for several reasons - in addition to what I mentioned above the breakfast was excellent. But if we return to Bordeaux, my wife and I would stay here again in the hope that Leo would still be there.

The hotel is in a quiet location but close to the center and numerous restaurants and shops. The room was wonderfully quiet, well decorated and the beds very pleasant. Breakfast, with freshly baked cakes each was very good. The staff and manager were extremely accommodating and helpful. We would definitely come back!
