Hotel located on the immediate outskirts of the city center, quiet and of good quality, especially the garden-side rooms. Very warm welcome from the reception as well as the service staff. The breakfasts are varied and hearty. Overall, it remains a good value for money in a very touristy city. One small reservation, however, about the mattress, which was "tired" and deserves to be replaced.

Quiet, partially renovated hotel with friendly staff, breakfast with regional products, and parking with charging stations

Our main negative point concerns the rigidity of the timetable: arriving from Switzerland and having to pass through the Gotthard tunnel, our arrival time was only confirmed at the last minute. Despite two calls to reception to warn them of our imminent arrival and slight delay, we received no help or understanding. Only rigid and formal answers were given to us: if we did not arrive at the agreed time, we would be left outside and lose the amount already paid for the booked room. This response was motivated by the fact that it is a small family hotel and they could not extend the opening hours as we had requested; Finally, we arrived on time, a little faster than expected on the highway, but the inconvenience and unpleasant feeling of an unwarm welcome persisted. In the end, we should have made a different choice (a larger hotel with a 24-hour front desk), and therefore, I would not recommend this hotel to people from far away who have difficulty with the strict reception hours.
