Stay from 06/21/2026 to 06/26/2026 – A very disappointing experience, room 40 For a stay charged at €418, I expected a minimum level of service quality and professionalism. Unfortunately, the reality was quite different. The room is not cleaned every day. When I asked for explanations, the manager cited ecological reasons. I can understand an environmental approach when it is clearly communicated to guests, but it should not serve as an excuse for a reduction in the services included in the price of the stay. This lack of daily cleaning had a direct consequence: I was forced to request toilet paper. If the room had been maintained normally, this situation would never have occurred. Another particularly unacceptable point: the shower. The water flow is extremely low at all times, turning a simple shower into a real ordeal. I am forced to spend between 15 and 20 minutes to manage to wash properly. Additionally, there is a temperature issue: the water constantly alternates between cold and hot, without any stability. For a hotel establishment, this level of comfort is simply unacceptable. The ecological argument is constantly put forward to justify the reduction of services. However, with a shower that has such low flow that it takes between 15 and 20 minutes, and air conditioning that runs continuously, this policy resembles more of a cost-saving measure at the expense of the guests than a genuine environmental initiative. At this level, we are closer to escrology than ecology. The common areas are not up to par either. The stairs and several common spaces are dirty and insufficiently maintained, which gives a general impression of neglect. The administrative management is also problematic. The reservation confirmation received by email contained several errors. After requesting a correction, a new reservation was sent to me, but without the slightest apology for the mistakes made or for the inconvenience caused. In the end, between the lack of maintenance in the rooms, the shower issues, the questionable cleanliness of the common areas, the inconsistencies in the ecological discourse, and the lack of consideration for the customer, I find this situation lamentable. At €418 for the stay, one is entitled to expect proper service, functional facilities, and a minimum of respect for the guests. I absolutely do not recommend this establishment.

For the price, nothing wrong: impeccable room, comfortable bedding, everything seems perfect... until we have the saucy idea of wanting to pay. Now we're flipping into a life-size sketch. The TPE that hasn’t been working since last night—obviously—and a legendary brunette receptionist, like “Customer Service, but version I know better than everyone else and I think aloud.” When we dare to point out to her that hearing her remarks through the counter may not be the best way to greet clients, she takes offense and explains that we do not know her enough to judge her. Indeed, ma'am, we don't know you. But you must admit that you leave a lasting impression.

In transit to the Atlantic coast, we made a stop at this Brit Hotel with a free Smartbox. Welcoming by the owner of the establishment was perfect and so was the quality of the room with all the necessary comforts. A special mention for the breakfast buffet based largely on local products of very high quality. At the time of departure we spoke again with the owner who told us that she had just selected new producers to improve the quality of the products.
