Not my style to write a scathing review on a hotel or restaurant that I have visited, but I felt it was necessary to put pen to paper, here.
Maybe it states the matter somewhere in the small print, but the signage at the entranceway to this property states 3 stars ~ and I will say, it is 3 stars for a reason..! Rooms are very, very bare bones and basic, not really what we had expected, at all. The chateau has a small in-house bar area, but the waitress had to fetch two bottles of beer for my wife and I, from the restaurant next door. The welcome at reception, was rather cold and uninviting.
We woke for breakfast on the Sunday morning, to find that it was not served until 08:30am. I appreciate that this is France, but that is rather late, in the real world..! This caught a few guests out, as they, like us, were heading for Calais, in order to meet ferry and tunnel crossings, back to the UK.
Saving grace was the restaurant, next door, which was very well appointed, with Pierre fronting the show for us. He was great, as was the food. It’s just a pity that the chateau is not at anywhere near the same level as the restaurant.
Be warned..

My wife and I came to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, and we received a breathtaking welcome. The team was attentive to us; they were listening, available, and welcoming throughout our stay. From the room to breakfast and dinner, everything was perfect and beyond our expectations. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you, and we will return with pleasure.

Very welcoming and helpful staff at this delightful rural chateau. An excellent restaurant in the pleasant grounds with private parking. Spacious well equipped room enabled a good night's sleep. Some friendly goats and chickens. Worth travelling to.
