We thought we would stay at the Château de la Barbinière, but upon our arrival, we were placed in an outbuilding, which seems to be the caretaker's accommodation. We are therefore forced to take the car every morning to go to breakfast at the château. Furthermore, the room has several drawbacks: a strong smell of dampness, likely related to the adjoining door that leads to a basement, from which odors rise into the room. The bathroom, very cramped, also has a significant spider web with its occupant. We are very disappointed with this service. Given the price of the room, being accommodated in an outbuilding, with such conditions, does not seem justifiable to us and does not correspond to what we expected from this establishment.

Shameful, we paid the price of a suite while it was a normal room, no concierge, not even a commercial manager.

Very nice area, especially the garden. The blonde lady with very short hair at breakfast was unpleasant, yelling at the staff, does not like customers, and even less children. One piece of advice: do not delay in getting your coffee.
