Chateau Le Breil

We have reurned to this Chateau for the third time in ten years. The first time we came back was because of the chateau itsself, the surroundings and the peace and quiet of the French countryside. We now return because of the family who owns the chateaus and takes very good care of you if you book into one of the Chateau rooms. I can tell you about the rooms that almost look the same as when the Chateau was built. Antique furniture, creaking wooden floors, marble fireplaces, but modern bathrooms and lovely new mattresses on the beds from way back! It makes you feel like a Duke and Duchess! I can talk about the beautiful heated pool, the lovely walks through the woods, the fantastic dinners and breakfasts prepared by the family Chevelier, but I won't because the main reason we came back is because of the hospitality we receive from Annick and Brunno and their children. It's a definite pleasure to stay at the Chateau. For those who seek a place to stay for Puy du Fou it's an easy 40 minute drive. For those of you traveling from Northern Europe to the South it's a great halfway place to stay. Be sure to book more than 1 night;) Thank you again Annick and Bruno and your lovely daughter Auror. When in Loire, you should stay at a chateau. With it's authentic interior and very spacious rooms, this B&B offers you everything you would possibly need to have a true chateau experience! The hosts were immensely kind and warm, giving us an instantly welcoming feeling. Breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room by the fire, with adequate choice and home made marmelades. You could also take a walk in the forest behind the chateau, accompanied by their lovely small dog, who acted as a guide! There are plenty of restaurants nearby in Chemillé. Definitely worth going!

I spent the weekend celebrating a family engagement in this beautiful château. The host couple and their daughter are all absolutely charming. The chateau is beautiful, with numerous spacious rooms with modern amenities. Beautiful grounds including a large swimming pool and some very friendly dogs and chickens. We were treated to a delicious home made dinner and delicious chocolate cake for dessert. Highly recommended. Thank you Annick, Aurore and Bruno!
