Hotel Ibis Mulhouse Ile Napoleon

The hotel itself was adequate for an overnight stay, but my experience was overshadowed by the fact that the advertised air conditioning was not working throughout the entire building, because, as I was told, “it had not been switched on yet”, and by the way my subsequent complaint was handled. At the time of booking, air conditioning was clearly advertised as a room facility. Upon arrival, I discovered that the air conditioning was not operational anywhere in the building. Reception informed me that the system had not yet been activated for the season. As the room was very warm, this had a noticeable impact on my comfort during the stay. What disappointed me most was not the lack of air conditioning itself, but the complete absence of follow-up afterwards. Accor Customer Care acknowledged that air conditioning had been advertised, that it was not available during my stay, and that this had not been communicated in advance. Despite multiple follow-ups and repeated assurances that the hotel management had been contacted and would respond, I have still not received any substantive response from the hotel weeks later. Problems can occur in any hotel. What matters is how they are handled. Unfortunately, in this case, the communication and complaint handling fell well below the standard I would expect from an Accor property.

Classic red ibis, with everything you need to spend the night and leave on foot in the morning....Relatively quiet if you are not on the side of the main road that has mostly traffic during the day....Friendly staff. However, the restaurant is microwave-heated food, not top cuisine but it helps if you arrive late.

We had booked two connecting rooms. We were 2 adults and 2 children On arrival we received 2 rooms face to face. The employee did everything possible to change our room. The girl was competent. The room is really small, from the mold to the ceiling of the bathroom, ... For supper, there is nothing because the kitchen is closed on We. The night was rather chaotic... nothing is soundproof. You hear your neighbors. The doors slamming... Not relaxing. In the morning, more water to wash... We went to lunch. Breakfast is good and buffet style. The room seems to have been renovated. We couldn't shower to get back on the road. Other customers also informed the employee. A worker was present for the repair but no commercial gesture except the offer of a coffee ... Anyway, not a restful night.
