Hotel Club Marina Viva

Accommodation dirty upon our arrival, not functional, lack of outlets especially in the bathroom where there are none, leaking fridge, hair dryer that overheated and would not stay in its holder, everything seems to date from another century. The air conditioning is useless except in the room where it is located. No smoke detector, worrying when you notice that an outlet has burned out and is unusable. 5 minutes of walking to access the accommodation, sloping path, no help to go up with the suitcases, this one is located opposite the hotel, painful journey especially when you have to do it several times a day and in the middle of a heatwave. No air conditioning in the restaurant, stifling. Desserts not stored in refrigerated compartments, dangerous with the heat that prevails in the dining room. Little choice and repetitive buffet. All-inclusive very very limited, ice cream, water bottles, mojito and so on, paid. Beach chairs without cushions, not very pleasant. No network, the Wi-Fi does not work in the accommodations and no phone in the accommodation to reach the front desk in case of a problem. What a shame, the setting was so beautiful and most of the staff friendly.

So I will not post any review regarding the club/entertainment/kids' club side because we did not take advantage of it. Club hotels are no longer suited to our vacation style. On the other hand, regarding the hotel: Well located in the heart of Porticcio, right on the beach. Be careful where your room is located in the complex; if you have the misfortune of facing the clubs and bars of Porticcio, you will not sleep all night. The comfort of the rooms is basic but sufficient, let's say, the bedding is decent. However, you are only entitled to one towel per person with which you will do everything, body, face…. For those who know, the pool is like Aquaboulevard on a heatwave day, completely unusable. The beach in Porticcio is not very pleasant, coarse sand and immediate depth, impossible with children, we left all day for the surrounding beaches. The lounge chairs offered by the hotel on the beach are not possible, you are sitting on a piece of plastic, besides, there is no one there. The food is worthy of a club hotel, that's how it is, however, on the days off for the staff involved, no eggs at breakfast or pizza at meals, I have never seen that. The cleaning staff, however, are truly lovely. It was a complete casting error for us, a shame.

We just spent a week at the Framissima Marina Viva in Porticcio, near Ajaccio, and we are leaving with our heads full of memories! (2 adults 2 teens) A week of vacation just the way we like it: sunshine, a magnificent setting, a great atmosphere, and above all an absolutely wonderful team. A huge bravo to the whole team! All the staff and entertainment team members are incredibly kind, always smiling, polite, and available, regardless of the circumstances. You can really feel a team that loves their job and does everything to ensure vacationers have an excellent stay. And that makes all the difference! 🎉 Top-notch entertainment The entertainment is really very successful. It is present, varied, and very well organized, without ever being intrusive or bothersome. Everyone can participate if they want to or simply enjoy their vacation quietly. Special mention for the pre-dinner games, which gave us some very good moments of laughter! A friendly, family-oriented, and good-natured atmosphere, exactly what we look for in a vacation club. 🍽️ Excellent and very varied dining We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality and especially the variety of the buffet. There is truly something for everyone: raw vegetables, salads, pizzas, fries, fish offered daily, meats, varied side dishes… It is impossible to get bored in a week! An impressive choice of desserts and presentations that really make you want to taste everything! 😋 🏖️ Pool and beach The pool is very pleasant and, even when the club is quite full, it is never impossible to find a lounge chair. Everything is very well managed, which is really appreciated during periods of high attendance. The beach is also very pretty and ideally located right next to the club. A small downside, the sand is rather composed of small gravel/pebbles and can be a bit painful under the feet… but frankly, it is really just a detail and it absolutely does not spoil the pleasure of enjoying this magnificent environment. 😉 🌊 The room with a sea view: go for it! We had paid the small supplement to benefit from a room with a sea view, and frankly: it is well worth it! The view is simply incredible. Waking up and falling asleep with this magnificent view of the sea is a real joy. It is clearly a small extra charge that we absolutely do not regret and that we recommend without hesitation. Rooms are pretty and practical, but no fridge, however. 📍 An ideal location The club is also very well located. There are many shops and businesses nearby, which makes it easy to leave the club on foot and enjoy Porticcio. And a big advantage for those arriving by plane: Ajaccio airport is only about fifteen minutes away, which is extremely convenient and allows you to start or end your vacation without spending hours in transit. ❤️ In conclusion As you will have understood: we recommend this establishment with our eyes closed! We had a wonderful week at the Framissima Marina Viva and we really want to congratulate the whole team, both the staff and the entertainers, for their professionalism, their kindness, and their good humor.
