Hotel Castel Vecchio

Stayed 2 nights as part of a coach tour. Personally had a lovely large and airy room with good air con. Everyone seemed happy with their rooms, though some comments about outdated decor. Nice outdoor pool. Breakfast buffet was good, with cooked and continental. We had a set meal with no choice - it was reasonable, but not wonderful and they struggled a little with the vegetarians. All in all, fine for a couple of nights.

Mixed review; Highlights: - bedding - pleasant terrace - great view (room on the 5th floor) - decent breakfast (although not worth 15 euros) - clean - proximity to the airport Points to reconsider: - aging hotel and room: stained carpet, stained walls, damaged wood, and plumbing needs attention. Few closets - breakfast a bit expensive - staff somewhat indifferent - quite out of the way; 20 minutes to reach the center I would not recommend the hotel for a long stay, but for 1 or 2 nights as it is near the airport

Really pleasantly surprised! Cleanliness of the room, quality of the amenities, availability and welcome of the staff, breakfast buffet, and location of the hotel! I was on the 7th floor, with a magnificent view of the Gulf of Ajaccio, both day and night... The stay was short, but I am delighted with this experience! I will return!
