Hotel Santa Maria

Very bad experience at this establishment. The welcome was cold upon our arrival, and we were immediately informed that our room would be very small and without a terrace. In the evening, due to a serious family problem, we had to give up spending the night at the hotel. We immediately notified the front desk and asked that management contact us to discuss the situation. Despite this, no contact from management since August 8; I had to send an email on August 21 to deign to have an exchange, and the night was charged anyway. We perfectly understand that our reservation was initially at a non-refundable rate. What we especially deplore is the total lack of dialogue and commercial consideration. A simple call would have allowed us to talk and possibly find a solution. A particularly disappointing experience, not only because of the circumstances, but especially because of the way management chose to handle the situation. We were simply expecting a minimum of listening and consideration.

Of course. Here is a clear and firm summary that you can send to the hotel or post as a review: Very disappointing 2-day stay at the Hotel Santa Maria. At 5 a.m., we were woken up by a flood in our room, forcing us to change rooms in the middle of the night. Beyond this incident, it is above all the attitude of the staff that is unacceptable. A brunette employee with curly hair was particularly disrespectful. She never apologized for the situation, offered no commercial gesture, nor any solution to compensate for the inconvenience. Worse yet, she took the liberty of telling us that we were behaving “like tourists,” an inappropriate and contemptuous remark. Instead of showing empathy and trying to calm the situation, she was content to ask us to lower our voices and even mentioned calling the police. Such a lack of professionalism and consideration toward guests who have suffered such a significant incident is unacceptable. We are leaving very disappointed by the handling of this situation and do not recommend this establishment.

Comfortable hotel away from the city center, but accessible on foot. Not far from a beach. Decent room, friendly staff. Diverse breakfast. I approve.
