Very nice location despite the aerial overflight.
Very beautiful sea view.
Very good bedding
Old-fashioned room, with stained carpet and torn curtains, with a small bathroom and a toilet that is almost inaccessible in the bathroom.
Pleasant staff (Sylvain is very efficient at the reception).
Excellent breakfast with fresh and varied products.
Very good service.
Hotel spa: if you want a relaxing, soothing, and zen massage.... Run away!!!
No consideration for customer feedback (for a 5-star hotel, this is more than a fault).
Despite all the possible good aspects (setting, beauty of the place... disappointed with the stay).

Perfect stay in every way. The welcome from Farid, Claire, and Clara (big thanks to her). The room (simple and elegant decor with a view of the bay of Ajaccio: an unforgettable panorama) was perfect thanks to Elodie, Puspa, and Céleste for the cleaning. The breakfast was visually magnificent, with a wide range of fresh, delicious products (tempting and succulent pastries and baked goods), served in a sumptuous setting with an ultra-friendly team (thanks to Andréa, Margaux, Roxane, Églantine, and Saïda), not to forget Valentin who prepared delicious crepes every morning. At the restaurant, you are warmly welcomed by Marine and served by Lucas (Églantine and Andrea also serve): the dishes are flavorful (thanks to the kitchen team). The pool is very pleasant, and the lifeguard is attentive to your requests. Dany at the bar is very considerate. A big thank you also to the Director of this establishment who was very present, accessible, warm, and attentive, as rarely seen (at breakfast, she brought hats to those bothered by the sun), among other things. Perfectly successful stay. Room 111 recommended! :)

A 5-star hotel???
How can one talk about a 5-star hotel after experiencing this establishment for a week?
Clearly, it does not deserve to be part of this category.
A aging hotel, with peeling and faded paint, a bathroom mirror darkened by the passage of time. A Bose sound system is present in the room. Only an antique dealer or a flea market can help you find the same model. The landline phone on the nightstand is from another era.
The breakfast is disappointing. It is clearly not worth the €35 charged per person.
We requested to cancel two breakfasts, giving 48 hours' notice. We were told it was fine at the reception, but we were charged for those two breakfasts on the day of departure, being informed that it was a "room + breakfast" package and that it was therefore impossible to remove them! And what a disappointment it was!
One evening, we approached the reception asking if they could warm up a dish for us, and we were told that, of course, it was possible and that it would go through room service. Once in the room, we called room service, and we were informed that it was possible but that we would be charged for the two plates borrowed as well as the cutlery! After 10 minutes of negotiations, they agreed to do it for us free of charge. What a generous spirit!
We went to collect our meal, and 50 minutes later, an employee entered our room without knocking, barging in the middle of the room with a long face. We thanked him anyway and asked him to bring us the boxes to put the leftovers for the next day. He said okay and never returned.
We recounted our misadventure the next morning to the hotel team. Everyone was shocked, and we were told that this should not happen.
You don't say! A 5-star hotel that is not even able to provide this kind of service? When I spoke to the hotel team, I mentioned that it would be elegant of them to make a gesture regarding this "mishap." Several nodded, as if it seemed obvious.
On the day of departure, I went to the reception and the team present acted as if nothing had happened. Yet everyone was aware of the "Room service" story.
No gesture. No compensation.
The team was "sorry."
We were offered to credit points to our ALL membership card. To which I responded that I did not wish to defer the problem to the future but wanted it resolved in the present.
The reception manager told me that there was no commercial gesture available. The food service manager repeated the same refrain.
I am 51 years old, I have visited several continents, and several 5-star hotels around the world. I have never heard such absurdity! What company in the world does not practice a commercial gesture when it is wrong and acknowledges it face to face? Sofitel, my general!
I asked them if they found the situation we experienced to be "normal," and they responded in unison that "no, of course not, but that nothing could be done at their level."
Deplorable, just deplorable.
I told them that I did not wish to leave the hotel with a bitter taste in my mouth, and they replied that "they hoped my next stay with them would go better."
Is this a joke? We are treated this way, we are refused any commercial gesture towards us, and basically, we are told see you soon????
Who are they mocking?
We selected the Sofitel in Ajaccio because it was a bit cheaper than the Radisson.
What a mistake! Several friends of ours stayed at the Radisson and they told us about impeccable service and a property that matched the description on booking.com.
A piece of advice? If you want to avoid disappointment, stay away from this Sofitel!
