Le President Hotel

When we first arrived we didn't get the room we had booked, it wasn't a room with a patio. The girl in the reception told us they only had four rooms with a patio and that we couldn't count on getting a room with that even if the booking said that the room had it. She blamed the booking site and that it wasn't the hotels fault. We eventually got another room, with a "patio", it was a door and a small space that you hardly couldn't go out to. You couldn't sit there. That was the start.... So pro and cons... Pro... - Good location in the city center. Good walking distance. - They had parking (if you didn't have a very big car). - Breakfast was good for the price and the staff at breakfast. - They had a children's chair for our baby that's ten months at the breakfast. - Got a small guidebook that was great. Cons... - The greeting in the beginning. We must be able to trust that we get the room we booked. - The first room we got without a patio had a terrible smell of cleaning products. - The room we got was not clean. Non of us has long black hair but the bathroom was full of it. It was lot of dirt under the bed. Our son was all dusty after crawling around on the floor (he didn't crawl under the bed). - The first night we got one set of towels. - The staff blamed the booking site for the wrong description of the room. - Was an air refreshment can under the bed that our son almost got a hold of and ate on. Dangerous! We wouldn't stay at this hotel again. I know it's a two star hotel but it was terrible even for that.

The hotel is situated in the inner part of Toulouse and it is modernly equipped. However, there is no-one at the registration during the night so that the guest is left alone to get the card for entrance via an automate. My room was used before by a smoker which was really uncomfortable and when leaving the window open, some homeless cats entered which was not really a welcome surprise. The room as such looked used and was only sparsely equipped, also the breakfast buffet was really small. If any other alternative is available, I would not really recommend this hotel for a stay.

This is a two star hotel and once you leave the reception it shows. But the room was ok, the breakfast the following morning good, off street parking was a little tight and the location was good. But the handprint on the wall above the bed made it feel like a rent by the hour place. While I wouldn't want to stay longer than a couple of days we slept well and headed off further south.
