Hotel Le Grand Noble

Previous airport hotel stay was at the Sofitel at Heathrow which was a hotwire choice and was very good value and a first rate experience (a walk from the terminal, clean, new, cheerful, upscale etc.) Ok, so that's what you get in LHR... At Toulouse Blagnac I wasn't expecting Sofitel quality but given the 3.5 stars I was disappointed by this place. A crummy little bed, tiny cell-like room, hallways with no lights on ( are you kidding me? ) and just overall a sketchy feeling to this place. It felt like it was on the verge of being out of business. And just a few minutes walk away was a fairly decent hotel (booked) with a steak restaurant off the lobby... I was eager to leave this place the next morning. Shoulda coulda woulda taken a cab into Toulouse and stayed in one of the charming hotels in town. One plus here: Lots of hot water and v good water pressure. NB: I almost gave this place 2 stars but I felt bad for them...

Comfortable bed and very clean. Excellent breakfast for 7.50 Euro well laid out with all the usual french breakfast items including hot chocolate, ham and yoghurt. The very freindly oweners organised the shuttle bus to and from the airport ( free) and also dropped me off in the morning at a meeting venue. Free wifi. Lots of hot water.. A 10 minute walk takes you to the E Leclerc complex for shopping, 15 screen cinema complex and resturants - A good and easily selected meal in Flunch for 16 Euro including wine and a dessert did the trick for this one night stay! Would stay again. On a bus route to from / to the airport .
