Hotel M

This hotel is very well located, it is right opposite the train station and also only a few minutes walk into the town centre. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was nice and clean, we had air conditioning in the room (very pleased as it was so hot outside!!!) And even a mini fridge. We left behind something very important in the hotel by mistake, so we got in contact with the hotel when we realised and they almost immediately posted this item to us. How helpful and efficient!!! Now that is customer service. Thank you again to the kind and helpful staff at the hotel M!! Cet hôtel se trouve très bien, en face de la gare et aussi très proche au centre ville. Les employés de l'hôtel étaient très sympa et gentille. Notre chambre était agréable et propre, on avait la climaisation dans la chambre! En plein été c'était bien utile et apprécié!! Et même un petit frigo aussi. On a oublié quelque chose de très importante dans la chambre par erreur, et l'hôtel nous l'a envoyé quassimment toute de suite! Très très bien!!! Très bon après vente. Encore merci BEAUCOUP à tous à l'hôtel M!!!

Worst hotel ever. Room smelled bad and wood floor was really warped like there is some kind of water damage. I'm pretty sure the bed was not clean either. I got in after midnight and had an 8 hr overnight train layover. This hotel is directly across from train station, which is why I picked it, but I honestly wish I had left and gone somewhere else. Desk clerk also overcharged me because it was late and I needed a room, but I could see in the hotel register in front of him that most guests had paid half of what he charged me. Overcharged for a really gross room; the whole place was just shady! Trust me, you want to avoid this place.

Upon arrival we were told (by a super sweet receptionist) that the room wouldn't be finished on time due to some maintenance issues and that the cleaning was delayed. So we wandered around town and arrived back at the time we had agreed upon. I dare say that my first impression wasn't favourable as the reception resembles a tabac-cafe in a bad neighbourhood, and it didn't get better when we saw the room. We did make the staff aware of the basic errors, such as missing towels and a blasting heater, but the overall poor cleaning and renovation just come down to bad management and the staff cannot be held accountable for this. I took a couple of pictures of what is supposedly a hotel, but frankly is a health code violation disguised as boarding. We are also slightly concerned as to the family friendliness of this place. I wouldn't bring my kids... I have seen some comments about it resembling a brothel and having a certain "feel" and I am inclined to agree.
