Avoid at all costs... Two nights were planned in this 3-star hotel, (which perhaps only deserves 2). Beautiful photos on the site, but once we arrived, a room with a carpet that is ancient, a clogged sink, all the silicone seals moldy and black, a room key that deactivates 3 times in 24 hours, other guests who are assigned the same room and who show up in yours unexpectedly. A 140 cm wide bed for two people, we barely closed our eyes all night, (even though there was room for a 160 cm bed). Such a disappointment that we left after 24 hours. And during checkout, a young manager who acknowledges certain errors, but blames us for having booked through Booking.com, a room according to her of the lowest price, the reason for the poor quality of this room. What must one do to have a decent room? No answer... R. Pasquier - Fribourg - Switzerland

The location of this hotel is difficult to beat. You step outside directly into the heart of Annecy’s beautiful old town, so almost everything we wanted to see was within easy walking distance. Our room was fairly small but comfortable enough for our stay, with good air conditioning. One consequence of such a central location is that the surrounding area remains lively into the evening, so there can be some noise at night. We were travelling with our dog and really appreciated that the hotel is dog-friendly. Dogs aren’t permitted in the breakfast area, although there are plenty of good dog-friendly cafés nearby, so we simply had breakfast elsewhere. If arriving by car, be prepared: parking close to the hotel is difficult and getting luggage from the car to the hotel isn’t particularly convenient. However, once checked in, we didn’t need the car to explore Annecy. The young lady who welcomed us at check-in deserves a particular mention — friendly, helpful and genuinely welcoming. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and an excellent base for experiencing Annecy on foot.
