Hotel des Lacs

Excellent value for money , Chamonix accessible by small train with tickets donated by the hotel!! Extraordinary view of the room on the Aiguille du Midi. Cleaning and change of towels done daily. I recommend ++++

We stayed two nights in this hotel located about twenty minutes walk from the center of Chamonix. Very nice welcome, decent room and bathroom. Good bedding. Good breakfast served buffet style. Parking is a plus.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and the daily cleaning is thorough. Simple but good breakfast. Located a little outside the city, but in nice walking distance or a few stops by bus. Fabulous view from the room directly to l’Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc. Wow! The only minus is the incredibly small bed. 2 adults (spouse couples) had very difficulty lying there both 2 (semi-man bed), so I slept really badly. Remember to ask for a room with 2 single beds. The staff were really kind to hand us a duvet more (there was only 1) and would have switched us to another room if not fully booked. If the bed had been bigger, they'd get 5 great stars from me. I am extremely satisfied and will definitely come back!
