Le Vert Hotel

Unclean facilities, an unannounced live music night, severe heat, blood present in the room, and aggressively hostile staff ruined what was meant to be a quiet, restful stay. We had specifically booked a private room to get a peaceful night's sleep before several early morning mountaineering starts. Instead, our stay was completely disrupted from the start: 1. Hygiene & Room Condition The room was unclean upon arrival, and shockingly, there was blood present. Combined with extreme heat and zero room ventilation, we were forced to leave the windows open, making the outside noise intolerable. 2. Uncommunicated Live Music & Late Noise Live music vibrated through our room on the first night—something never mentioned at booking. While staff initially claimed music was prohibited after 20:30, it continued past 22:00, followed by loud bar noise late into the night. 3. Unprofessional & Hostile Management Response When I politely brought up these issues: A staff member dismissed me, saying she was "too busy," and pushed past. A waiter condescendingly told me it was a hostel and to "get over it, mate." The woman who appeared to be the manager gave false times, refused to provide her name, and eventually told us at 21:00 that if we didn't like it, we should leave.

Firstly we booked a Mountain View room. Our room was located at the back of the building with two roof windows, hence no Mountain View unless we stood on the night stands looking out the windows. Secondly, the room was far from clean. There were, and are still, huge spider webs in the almost every corner of the room. In the bathroom there was a huge web with a spider which I had to remove. The lamps and other surfaces are full of dust and dirt which are older than just from the last guests staying in the room. Overall it was not a great experience. The entire building is quite worn and dirty.

Paid £378 for one of the very comfortable twin room for 2 nights. Paid at the time of booking in Feb. Two days before saw they'd charged me again. This was refunded. Unfortunately we were put in room 15 which was a dorm room, one bed had dirty bed linen on and the room smelt of urine. Cheap and nasty beds. Room very dark even with the light on. No one on reception so a girl working behind the bar changed the sheet.advised to speak to Barbara the following morning. Spoke to Barbara who said she would go and find out if she can move us. After 20 mins went to look for her but found the rooms locked and no one around. Multiple emails sent withno reply. Bathroom was gross aswell. Communal areas left a lot to be desired, couldn't wait to leave tbh. Pics attached shows room booked versus the room we were given
