Disappointing. We stayed for 4 nights (2 rooms) this July. It’s ok, but we had high hopes that weren’t met.
Good location and great views of the lake. A room without a view (eg of the service road) would be miserable.
The rooms are tired. Really need freshening up. Stained sheets, carpets with bleach spills, shower doors that don’t seal etc.
Evening meal was disappointing (very limited veg options). Breakfast was good (mainly) but hopelessly understaffed - waiting several times for plates and bowls. Fruit salad was well past its best - “fizzy” grapes is really amateurish
Pool was warm and lovely. The spotlight hanging out of its housing was fixed overnight (thank you) but felt unsafe.
The Hilton signs were taken down which was weird. But one day signs were put up announcing the change to a Leonardo hotel. Totally unexpected.
Carpark plenty of spaces - and EV chargers if you can work them out.
The hotel has potential to be great - and the staff were very pleasant - but the Owner needs to spend considerable money and time to meet guest expectations. It felt like a hotel in transition- maintenance long since cut to a minimum and food being used up.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It’s right on the lake, within easy walking distance of the centre of Évian, and the public spaces are beautiful. They create the impression that you’re in for a luxurious stay. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to that first impression.
While the lobby and common areas are lovely, the guest rooms are noticeably dated. The furniture is worn, dented in places, and long overdue for renovation. They simply don’t reflect the quality the rest of the property suggests.
Dinner in the restaurant was genuinely excellent and was easily the highlight of my stay.
The executive lounge, however, was disappointing. I arrived about an hour into the evening service, and there was little more than a salad bar left. There wasn’t even a stir stick or spoon available for my coffee. Another guest asked whether more of the hot food would be brought out and was told the kitchen would be asked, but nothing ever appeared during the half hour or so that I remained there. There were only three bottles of non-alcoholic beer left, and when another guest asked for a regular beer with nearly an hour still remaining in the service, they were simply told they had run out.
Breakfast was another letdown. I waited about ten minutes just to be seated, and once I was, no one came to my table. I wasn’t offered coffee or any other service, and eventually had to get my own cutlery from the waiter’s station. The buffet itself looked tired, with slimy scrambled eggs and several items that had been picked over or left empty.
For a property that promotes itself as a spa resort, I was surprised that the spa closed at 7:00 p.m. and the pool at 8:00 p.m. Those hours seem unusually limited for guests who spend the day exploring the area.
There were also several small frustrations that added up over the course of my stay. Since there are no ice machines on the guest floors, I called for a bucket of ice. When it arrived, the employee asked whether I had been told there would be a €4 charge. It was obvious from the way he asked that this wasn’t the first time a guest had been caught off guard by it. Four euros isn’t a significant amount of money, but charging for something as basic as a bucket of ice, especially when guests have no other way to get it, is exactly the kind of nickel-and-diming that leaves a bad impression. Room service trays and dishes were also left sitting in the hallways overnight and were still there when I checked out the following morning.
None of these issues, on their own, would have defined my stay. But together they painted the picture of a hotel that has stopped investing in the guest experience while finding new ways to charge for it. Knowing the hotel will soon be leaving the Hilton brand, it’s hard not to wonder whether these little things are part of the reason.

Very disappointed with our stay. The hotel clearly suffers from a lack of general maintenance. We had booked a suite with a view of Lake Geneva, but once we arrived, the view of the lake was only partial.
The cleanliness also leaves much to be desired: dirty carpet, mold on the shower ceiling, and even inside the refrigerator. For the price asked, it is disappointing.
The establishment is far too expensive for the quality offered. We expressed our dissatisfaction at the reception, where we were told they understood our disappointment, but they found no other solution than to offer us a cocktail as compensation.
We do not recommend this hotel and will not return to this establishment or any other Hilton hotel.
