Le Gotty

This is a lovely hotel in many ways - great location, good value, clean and staff are friendly (with one exception who made us feel everything was a chore to her). BUT for me, our stay was a bit spoiled by the incessant smell of cigarette smoke. While the hotel is non-smoking indoors, it still smelt in the common areas and the bed linen and towels all reeked which was really off-putting. We stopped sitting out on the sun terrace due to the staff sitting drinking beer and smoking in the afternoons! We may be being unreasonable as perhaps smoking is more acceptable in France, but it reminded me why we usually ski in Austria!

We stayed here in a group of 4 in a family room. Rooms was clean with fantastic views down the valley. The rest of the hotel was clean and the staff friendly and informative regarding local services available. We had breakfast each morning in the hotel which was slightly over priced at €10 each, but given we were only paying €40 a night per person we didn't mind and there wasn't much other choice nearby. The hotel has a nice bar area too. Would stay there again if in the area and on a budget.

we stayed here for a saturday and sunday night. It was in the summer, so 100% not peak time. Even so the staff for super helpful and everything ran smoothly. We didnt use the hotel for dinners or breakfast, but other people seemed to. I think we have got the smallest room, so maybe try and ask for a big room when you book! I did email them and ask for a bathtub, but this was very late on and we didnt get there until late in the day so we got a shower room. The hotel is super quiet as it isnt in the town centre. The bus stop, i noticed, is directly oppisiste the hotel, ideal for skiers and snowboarders. La clusaz itself isnt far away and has good amenities. We ate at a restaurant called "La Ferme" that i found on trip advisor. 5/5!!! Overall the hotel is clean and quiet. Classic winter hotel!!!
